What is OKU?

Does anyone know what is OKU? OKU defines as Orang Kurang Upaya - those people who is disabled and cannot be able to move or work. PWD is more popular known as Person with Disabilities.

OKU are categories to the following as below :-
A. Mentally problem
B. Down Syndrome
C. Cerebral Palsy (C.P)
D. Blind
E. Deaf
F. Deaf-Blind
G. Physical Handicap


OKU Registration:-
Colour Card Identifiable disabled
Physical Handicap - Green
Deaf - Purple
Blind - Blue
Learning Difficulties - Yellow
Cerebral Palsy - Pink
Others - Brown / Orange


Each OKU who has a personally identifiable card disabled which is registered with JKM, (Jabatan Kebajikan Malaysia) Social Welfare Department in Bahasa Inggeris.

The facilities and privileges to registered disabled follows as :-

* Identification
* Facilitate the OKU to get services
* Etc
